Map & directions to the Back Designs warehouse

Warehouse Address

Our building address has changed. Same building ... new address. This is causing problems with GPS systems, online maps, and delivery services. To make matters worse, neither address is accurately located on many maps. The Google Map below is still tied to our old address because it still works. The new address is not yet accurate on Google.

New address: OK for deliveries. Not accurate for GPS and online maps.

1260 Nimitz Ave., Building 670

The Back Designs warehouse is located in an historic building within the old Mare Island Naval Complex in Vallejo, CA. If this is your first visit to the island, allow some extra time to find your way around. Wayfinding here can be a challenge because some streets have no street signs, are not on maps, and look more like parking lots than streets.

Directions from Google Maps is accurate. If you use any other GPS system or online map you will likely get lost. Our address will may not appear or will appear half-mile away on a dead-end street. You may have to plug in our longitude and latitude coordinates (38.09361,-122.262647) for accurate navigation on other mapping systems.

Once you reach Mare Island, we strongly recommend you follow the directions below. We doubt you'll find us otherwise.

From the North

  1. Take I-80 W
  2. When you approach Vallejo, take CA-37 W toward Novato/San Rafael
  3. Take the exit toward Mare Island (0.1 mi)
  4. Continue straight (0.2 mi)
  5. Continue straight onto Walnut Ave (0.7 mi)
  6. Take the 3rd left at G St (423 ft).
  7. Take the 2nd right onto Nimitz Ave. Nimitz is the last turn before the Mare Island Causeway Bridge. Do not cross the bridge.
