A safety caster allows free chair movement when you are sitting, but resists unwanted chair movement when you rise. It prevents unwanted or unexpected movement of the chair away from the user. In some European countries all chairs must have safety casters. In the USA, theses casters are primarily used by injured or disabled workers and on sloping floors.Important! Safety casters may not release and roll if you weigh less than 120 pounds.
